Thin Sandhi is a part-qualified chartered accountant. She has a masters degree in Commerce. She never had a full time 9 to 5 job. She then came to the UK in 2008 to achieve international working experience. She worked for Yussouf & Co Chartered Accountants in London as a part-time trainee accountant while studying ACCA. When she accomplished ACCA skills modules and gained a BSc (Hons) in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University, she joined another bigger accountancy firm as an assistant accountant and she worked there for 3 years. Her main responsibilities varied from tax returns to payroll process. She then got married and had a baby. She and her family relocated to Manchester in 2014.

She didn’t waste any minutes during her maternity leave. She did a Payroll Technician certificate with the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP). She worked as a freelance accountant providing accountancy and payroll services before joining Clear Law Solicitors as a legal accounts assistant in 2015. She then moved her employment to Express Solicitors in January 2017 to seek further career development with more challenges. She finds that legal accounting is also interesting as the different account rules applied to the legal sectors, comparing to the other business types. She is now getting back to her study of ACCA professional final stage to become a fully qualified chartered accountant.

She loves animals and so she supports the charity RSPCA. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her little daughter and making jewellery.
