Carol had always been a dog lover from a very early age. Near the age of 24 she received her training as a professional groomer. In 1974 as her career began to take off, she and her husband operated one ofonly a few mobile grooming shops in the United States. They designed and developed their “shop on wheels” from the ground up and began what was to become a very active livelihood in the pet grooming profession. She managed and participated as a groomer in four additional businesses in their career. She became an apprentice to several dozen individuals in the 80’s because, at that time in the U.S.A., dog grooming trade schools were few and far between. To make it possible for more individuals to either gain a new experience by working with dogs, or to meet their goals of becoming a professional groomer as a trade, she decided to develop a home study course. After much thought and careful consideration, the course was completed in the later part of the 1990’s. It immediately became a major success and has remained a vital part of her life’s work for nearly two decades now. Her family members have all followed in her footsteps. She has three grown children who all groom dogs professionally. Her husband remains connected to the trade by designing and building mobile pet grooming trailers for new business start-ups in the U.S.A.
