Michael is a winemaker at an award-winning boutique winery in Central Virginia. He has lectured at Virginia Tech and contributed to programs at Piedmont Virginia Community College, and he also regularly conducts seminars and tours for local wine drinkers. In 2013, Michael and his brother, Luke, relaunched the pre-Prohibition Monticello Wine Company — an historic Virginia wine business founded in 1873. Their goals are to make great wine from the area's top growers, be ambassadors for Virginia wine, and focus on wine education. Michael lives in Charlottesville with his wife and two kiddos.
